September 6, 2017

This time we sorted by ERA, fourth column over:

Notes:

  1. Just as HR were up yesterday, ERA is through the roof today. Last year, the beter teams flirted with 3.00 ERA and 3.50 was pretty blah. This year I led–but couldn’t crack 3.50. And I led by a quarter of a run. Only six teams broke 4.00.
  2. Three teams really went for Saves all year, with Dutch Boy jumping on the train midway through the year. Only Mendoza and I made the playoffs.
  3. Murray’s heavy-pitching draft was an unmitigated disaster.
  4. Command was also down. In past years, 3.00 K/BB was required to be competitive. This year, only two teams got there.
  5. Saget served up 298 dingers. That takes some effort.
